Invicta FC 17 features a pair of title fights. The card takes place Saturday night at the Hangar at OC Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif. The entire card airs live on UFC Fight Pass.
Tonya Evinger has gone undefeated since dropping a decision to Olympian Sara McMann in 2011. Her Rankings Momentum over the last two years 5.1, which shows her climb up the bantamweight rankings. Evinger is a sizable betting favorite in her title defense against Colleen Schneider and for good reason. Schneider is ranked 23rd by Fight Matrix and her peak ranking came down a division at flyweight.
Angela Hill appeared out of her depth in the UFC. Afterall, she was invited to join the 20th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” with only a 1-0 record. After going 1-2 in the Octagon, Hill moved to Invicta FC and has shown why she was a respect prospect in the first place. She jumps back into the deep end here against Livia Renata Souza. The Invicta strawweight champion has started her career with back-to-back stoppage victories over Katja Kankaanpaa and DeAnna Bennett. It should make for an exciting championship fight.
