Ronda Rousey is still a huge submission threat

Yesterday, Dana White announced that former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will return to action and challenge current champion Amanda Nunes for the title. The bout will headline UFC 207, which takes place Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Rousey did not take losing her belt to Holly Holm particularly well, but she is still a dangerous fighter. When it comes to submissions, it is safe to say that she is the most dangerous ranked women's bantamweight in the UFC. She averages 0.33 submission attempts per minute and finished 70 percent of her submission attempts. Both of those numbers are best among ranked bantamweights. The following scatter plot fully illustrates her dominance in the submission game.
